Gales® was founded with care and kindness to give back to our community of nurses.  We crowd-sourced a solution when we discovered the high infection risk associated with non-protective footwear worn in hospitals. With over 1,500 participating nurses, we launched the first footwear built to protect feet from contamination and keep nurses feeling comfortable and safe during long 12+ hour shifts. Built with nurses, for nurses, Gales® has proudly given back to our community through charitable donations, giveaways, and partnerships totaling 2,000+ pair donations in 2023. The following are some highlights:

• Collaborated with Nurse Blake for the limited edition Nurse Blake x Gales® Pro Line with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation helping children with critical illness.
• Hosted the “Nurse Impact Contest” with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Pediatric Oncology Nurse’s Day and launched a capsule collection. A portion of the proceeds directly funds ALSF’s pediatric cancer research efforts.
• Co-sponsored Nurses Night at Fenway this past May.
• Partnered with Spirit Airlines and IntelyCare to sponsor a boat cruise + nurse credentialing for over 300 nurses.
• Created the first-ever healthcare-focused music video featuring “The Dancing Nurse” Cindy Johnson, RN, and original lyrics/choreography/styling by Gales®.
